Get one of these things

Post by Niner » Tue Jul 05, 2005 11:46 pm

This is a simple thing you don't pay any attention to...unless you misplace it. It is really just a flashlight with a bent piece of plastic bending light in a way that directs light down a bore. You need one if you are buying a new piece, or if you are inspecting the condition of something you own. You can pick one up for a couple of dollars. It runs on a pin light battery. Really an important piece of gear.....once you have one and realize what it can show you.

...I've had one for several years and often forget that I have it! Like you said it only comes to mind when the need arises. There's even been a couple of occasions when I wished I didn't have it...after I saw what the bore looked like

Yep. Except that a piece of paper works just as well.
Spelling and grammar always count.
