What's the connection to a vineyard? Maybe the ball ammo is the size of a grape? Or maybe to discourage someone from carrying off any wine from the aging room?

Used to scare birds apparently so I suspect it would be loaded with powder and wad only or maybe some lead shot. I can't find any load data on it anywhere
