So the Proxy war with Russia continues

France seems to have forgotten when Germany kicked their ass and got to Paris and most everyone was retired completely. Except for the fact it was Hitler, they probably deserved some of it because of the way France enjoyed raping the economy of Germany after WWI. But...in this case I think they aren't nuts at all and agree with them.
Re: So the Proxy war with Russia continues
I was looking at a late post of photos from a noted photographer by the name of David Turnley on facebook. He was showing some photos he took in Ireland during the "troubles" that were impactful of the people living with it. One woman, an American, living in London in the 80's saw some of that pain first hand. She made this comment seeing his photos.
Then she adds at the end of her statement:I lived in London 1973-1974 when there were many IRA bombings.
On Christmas Eve we were to meet friends in front of a shop on Regent Street to take them to our flat. The entire street was blocked off due to possiblly planted bombs, so we stood near the statue at Piccadilly Circus and luckily saw our friends despite the huge crowds.
That night the cousin of a good friend of ours was in the pub that was bombed and had the back of her calf blown off.
“24 December 1973: The Provisional IRA left two packages which exploded almost simultaneously in the late evening on Christmas Eve. One was in the doorway of the North Star public house, at the junction of College Crescent and Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage, which exploded injuring six people, and the other exploded on the upstairs verandah of the nearby Swiss Cottage Tavern where an unspecified number of people were injured.[
I couldn't help thinking that what the British were doing in dominating Ireland, and had been doing for a long time, might not be so unlike what Russia wants to do in the Ukraine. If Russia wins out and gets parts of Ukraine again that don't see themselves as Russian then Russia will only end up with their own kind of ongoing "troubles". The reverse side of the coin is if the Ukraine, that the US and Europe supports, wins out, then the Russian part will maybe do the same rebel thing and the people who just want peace will still be living in violence and uncertain safety.Between the power shortage and the IRA bombings and after effects, it was a rough year to live in London.
However, I am much more empathetic to what has been going on in Ukraine than I might have been, had I not lived through that time in England.

Oh shit. The drones shot down over the Kremlin show how dangerous things are getting. What if the shoe were on the other foot and the US was in a war with someone and Russia was supplying them with great quantities of drones and missiles and the enemy was within easy range of our Capital and a couple of drones with explosives were shot down over the White House? People don't believe nuclear war is a real thing anymore even though that's dangerous to think. What do you think Biden the fearless would do if some country, " known terrorist" or otherwise, launched a couple of drones at the White House? It would make 9/11 look like a field exercise in military use.
The US bullshit propaganda sources are even suggesting that Russia faked the attack for some reason. Just like they say Russia attacked it's own pipeline that was built to sell Germany oil.
Here's a today quote from NBC news. I find it hard not to believe the Russian spokesman :

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed Thursday that Washington had masterminded the incident. The U.S. swiftly rejected the accusation, saying it had nothing to do with it, as did Ukraine.
“We are well aware that decisions on such a level of terrorist attacks are made not in Kyiv, but in Washington,” Peskov said in his daily briefing with reporters. “Kyiv only does what it is told to do.”
Peskov dismissed American and Ukrainian attempts to “disown” the drone incident as “absolutely ridiculous.”
Re: So the Proxy war with Russia continues
Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, Trump was asked by the CNN town hall host the other night if he supported Ukraine against Russia as he starts up his latest Presidential campaign. Trump wouldn't say the words the moderator tried to get him to say. He said only he would like to see the fighting stopped and continued deaths ended. That of course is not the current line promoted by the Biden administration which staunchly aligns with the present government of Ukraine and wants Ukraine to keep the blood flowing. Trump also wasn't so keen on the US continuing to dump money and sophisticated weapons into Ukraine. Of course all the loyal networks were aghast at Trump for not towing the Biden endorsed government line.

The US is upset because Russia has halted it's "Start Agreement" participation over the war in Ukraine and the US's side taking against them. Keeping the nuke count for both sides seems to be of some importance to the US although both sides have enough nuke weapons to destroy the earth as a place where whomever survives would want to live even if both sides gave up half of what they admit to having of world destroying weapons.
The score for the US at present was announced. The Russians a year or so ago had a nearly like number.

UPIOn Monday, the State Department said it had 1,419 deployed nuclear warheads, 800 deployed and non-deployed delivery systems and 662 deployed ICBMs, submarine-launched ballistic missiles and heavy bombers.
In March 2022, the last time Russia published figures, Moscow declared it had 1,474 deployed nuclear warheads, 761 deployed and non-deployed delivery systems and 526 deployed ICBMs, SLBMs and heavy bombers.

I know math wasn't my favorite subject in school. I've been mathematically challenged all of my life. However, I can do basic addition and subtraction. Explain this recent account of why the Ukraine is pissed at Iran for giving Russia some drone bombs and vows revenge.
So, how does 54 become 59 and if 58 of 59 were shot down how is it that there was "widespread damage"? Unless... the ones fired early Sunday were different missiles and although all but one released over night were shot down and most of the ones released early Sunday weren't. Or maybe there were really only 54 of the 59 total that were Iranian drones. Since 58 in total were shot down that means the Ukranians somehow could tell the four non Iranian drones from the Iranian drones. It's kinda murky information at best. Guess the propaganda people took the weekend off and left the really dumb guys to write the copy for handout to the press. Probably they want you to take it both ways.... smart defender missiles... like the ones we give Israel against the bumbling incompetent Palestinians are triumphantly successful while at the same time poor defenseless Ukrainian civilians are being assaulted and murdered by the vicious ruthless Russians.May 28 (UPI) -- A Ukrainian adviser said there will be consequences for Iran after Iranian drones were used to strike Kyiv. Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, tweeted Sunday that a draft resolution is being submitted by the president to sanction Iran for 50 years.
This comes after Russia executed the largest drone strike of the war thus far, turning 54 Shahed drones against the city of Kyiv early Sunday, CNN reported.
Fifty-eight of the 59 drones unleashed overnight were shot down by the Ukrainian air force, but not until after the unmanned aerial vehicles armed with precision-guided weapons caused widespread damage.

The plot thickens. Ukraine sent some drone bombs into civilian structures in Moscow....and denies they did it. Then Zelensky makes some trips to allies asking for them to join the conflict in the future. The latest was yesterday to a conference of European countries.
Remember various political figures in the past with military uniforms? Some countries have "leaders" who dress up like a doorman at a fancy big city hotel. Most of them are perfectly peaceful actually and are only waiting around for the next government overthrow. Some , like Castro did, dress up in combat fatigues. It worked for Castro and fatigues became his forever after image long after the revolution was over. That Korean dictator now days has a more stylized and upscale militaristic uniform. But... Zelensky has a designer uniform that one ups anyone in the past or present. Note the empty uniform patches tabs that makes one think maybe they are Velcro so in an instance he can slap on a name tag and a unit crest tags and be converted into Super War Hero ready to leap into battle at any moment.
The Guardian“I think security guarantees are very important not only for Ukraine, [but also] for our neighbours, for Moldova because of Russia, their aggressions in Ukraine and potential aggression in other parts of Europe,” he said.
On Wednesday Emmanuel Macron called on the international community to offer Ukraine “tangible and credible” Israeli-style security guarantees, saying it was in the rest of the continent’s interest.
“We have to build something between the security provided to Israel and full-fledged membership,” said Macron.
Security guarantees are seen as a long-term alliance with US and European defence capabilities without full membership of Nato, which is not possible while war is ongoing as it would pull the organisation into the conflict on the ground.
Some have suggested that countries including the US, UK, France, Germany and others could place their own troops in Ukraine postwar, in the same way that Nato offers security to member states that border Russia.
