Sports prognosticators

They are at it now prognosticating College football winners with the AP and Coaches polls and countless tv sponsored experts and sports journalists. They are at it with professional football with former players and gamblers making guesses....somewhat educated by experience with little application to present reality. Pro baseball is now down to the play offs to see who ends up in the series with wild card and league division playoffs and there are odds on all the games. A hundred years ago there were prognosticators then too. And like now, not many ever went out on any limbs very far.
