A No.4 Enfield ?

Post by joseyclosey » Sun Oct 14, 2018 10:25 am

I visited the Berwick Barracks museum this weekend, dedicated to the Kings Own Scottish Borderers.
Amongst the displays this foto caught my eye. The butt and foresight / guard look like a No.4 but the forend wood and possibly a pistol grip look unusual. The only info about the pic said it was a mortar pit position.
I can't find anything in Skennertons book, anyone have any ideas what it is?
Joe

Thanks Duncan I never even thought of an smg, now that you say the mag is visible just behind the grenade.
I should have mentioned that this was a pic from the Korean war btw.
