this use of the back position has declined sharply in recent years as most MR competitors now use some sort of glass sight and so there is no advantage to the longer sight base of the metallic sights. Even most of those who still use the supine position do it with a telescope.

Depends - I had a try at the position, and it does seem more stable than the prone. Of course, it is less comfortable. But I do intend to have a go with it in competition, even if only to baffle the competition. After all, if you cannot beat 'em, make sure you get noticed another way! :lol:

I was looking back a lot of pages seeing what was still there that still had picture links and this was one that I remembered and was glad to see the pictures still worked. Thought I'd bump it to the top for those who weren't around the site in October of 2005.
