Odd configuration. The volley sight is on, which were removed in WWI because they were thought to be unnecessary but the magazine cut off switch is missing...like was also done at some point about the time the volley sight was removed. The front stock is bubberized. What information do you have on the butt socket? Maybe the front stock was not original to the rifle is my thinking off the top of head.
