General Patton's Death - Accident or Murder?

Post by DuncaninFrance » Fri Feb 12, 2021 11:53 am

There is a presenter on YouTube called Mark Felton who produces some very good, unbiased videos ( IMO )
This one was only uploaded yesterday but I thought it was very interesting as I had read about Patton's death elsewhere.

I saw a movie years ago about that and, I think, they used a bullet shaped like a bolt so it
would look like a piece of the car. Not sure if it was the movie mentioned, Brass Target.
You would have to be a great shot to hit him in the exact spot, in a moving target.
Makes a good story, but like the guy in the video says... probably just an accident.

From a newspaper a hundred years ago today. Seems the Presidential inauguration of Harding was yet to happen. But among the pageantry was a cavalry escort planned for the occasion. Old George as a major with is personally designed saber was going to lead it.

Notice they got his middle initial wrong, his actual name is George Smith Patton Jr.
I have a feeling his nickname wasn't "Junior", at least not to his face.......
