Is this is or is this ain't?

This is a place for veterans of military service to remember and reflect. War time or peace. Any service.

Is this is or is this ain't?

I was out taking photos Saturday. I went to Battleship Park. Among the features at the park is a section with homage to local veterans that died in various wars. The Vietnam section has this single statue. I took a photo of it lining up the Huey behind it. Later I noticed the marks on the cheek of the statue. They look like the imprint of woman's lips left by lipstick. I got to thinking about it... and wondered... really intentional? Really done by the company that cast the statue? Or could it be "real" lipstick?

Maybe just my imagination. I'll have to search my old photos to see if I have one of the statue to compare.

I found another photo I took a year or two ago. No marks on cheek.
