Kind of looks like the cutter Acushnet but the picture I have is pretty poor for comparison purposes.

Sorry, the USCGC Acushnet (originally the USS Shackle ARS-9) was built 34 years later.

That wasn't the one I was looking at, different ship. I was looking at the one in the 1914 Jane's Warships of WW1 but the picture was dim. oh well.

Found the right one Acushnet. :mrgreen:
Very similar, built the same year and about the same size.

Well I have continued to look but the only one I have come across that resembles your image is the cutter Snohomish it but lacks the extra deck and gun up forward.

You are correct, it is the Revenue Cutter Service / US Coast Guard Cutter Snohomish.
Not sure when the upper deck and guns were added, but I think before 1915.
My Grandfather served on her from Apr. 1912 to Dec. 1918. Have done quite a bit of research and
she has quite a history.
Guess I should have posted as-built and modified photos.

Had let this one slip. First of her class, took part in the invasions of Kwajalein, Guam, Leyte and Luzon.
Participated at Bikini.
