Wonder why they wanted it lifted up like that? I had a model of that clipper ship when I was a kid. I built a few large kit models of other clippers...like the Thermopylae. Wonder if kids still build ship models from kits?

The Queen will open her tomorrow after all the renovation. She has been raised up so that visitors can walk underneath her and see the beautiful lines of the hull.
I have some slides I took of her back in the early 60's, wonder where i put them :cry:

Before the fire the conservators were talking about fitting the area 'under the waterline' as a museum/display/reception area.
