Here is a notice from a newspaper a hundred years ago. Trees of the usual fresh cut Christmas version were about $1.25 in the cities in those days. And the newspaper wanted you to not set your house on fire.
Incidentally inflammable and flammable both mean the same thing....as in things that will burn. Looks like asbestos hadn't been found to be something to be concerned about then....and for probably sixty or so years to come.
