This is the 1972 book and the prices are amazing. But to keep it in context, 2 years later I bought a
1974 Dodge Charger right off the showroom floor for $4411.
I'm still waiting for my flying car and a time machine. .........

1973 Mustang. V8, auto transmission, AC, power steering and brakes, special vinyl roof. The last full size Mustang before the Mustang II compact version. $4000 drive out.

Although gun values overwhelmingly have gone up in various individual make and model degrees as the years tick by there were at least a few guns in 1972 that were more expensive than now. Take the CZ52. There were about 200,000 made for the iron curtain countries starting in 1952. In 1972 if you could find one outside of Russia or Russian block countries it would cost you a couple thousand dollars. Back when the flood gates opened and boat loads of the CZ52 landed in the US you could pick one up for $150 with holster and extra magazine. Now days used ones are reported to be going for around $400.

After reading your post I decided to check on prices for 1895 Nagant pistols, they are crazy.
Most are around $500 and up, although on Gunbroker, most aren't getting many bids. There is one
on Guns.com for $1400 and it's not that special. I had no idea of the prices, I paid $75 on a table at
a gun show in Tucson many years ago.

I have two 1895 pistols. One I bought for $50 and one I bought not long after for $85. The more expensive one Century Arms was advertising as chambered for 32 S&W. I think they were blowing smoke on the more expensive one, although that is what is engraved on the frame of the pistol. I've fired 32 S&W long in both and saw no difference that I can recall. They both came with holsters and cleaning rod.

Mine is dated 1914 and most of the Imperial crest has been scrubbed off, sadly. Have never tried shooting
the 32 long in it, but have shot both surplus and new ammo in it and the new is weak compared to surplus ammo.
Even though they are double action, it's so stiff that my old fingers won't work it very well, OK not at all. ....

I got one with the nearly gone imperial markings too. It's also the one with the 32 S&W long marking.
