Alabama working on no license to carry concealed legislation

Post by Niner » Thu Mar 05, 2020 12:04 pm

This is only on the way to the Alabama Senate at the moment. People in 15 other states have such a law now. The ones that mostly object are the sheriffs in various counties that make money off of selling permits. You can image what various anti gun people and organizations must think of this.

Advocates on both sides of a bill to repeal the requirement for a permit to carry a concealed handgun spoke to state lawmakers at a public hearing this morning.

After the hearing, the Alabama Senate Judiciary Committee approved the bill on a 6-4 vote, moving it into consideration for a vote by the full Senate.

Arizona did that several years ago, then I moved to this friggin' state......
But you could still get a concealed carry permit in AZ if you were going to carry in states
that had reciprocity with AZ. Alabama will probably do that too.

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.
