Here's a new beer Abita IPA

Post by Niner » Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:17 pm

Actually, it's called Jockamo IPA. Comes from Abita in Abita Springs Louisiana. It's a pretty good size brewery. They have been around for a while in the premium beer market. They advertise it as an IPA and has a 6.5% content.

It's better than the Belgium, made in Colorado version. Not nearly the hopps flavor that the Colorado beer has. Just a taste...not overwhelming.

I't pretty good. I give it high marks. It goes good with some grilled sausage dogs.

It mentions the Mardi Gras indians that march in New Orleans. I think New Orleans may have stole the notion from old Slakabamaremico who is credited with reviving Mardi Gras in Mobile.... with the old Cowbellian Deraking Society ...but whatever.
