Military Reenactors in the Citadell

The country that avoids war and the country that fights but has a hard time winning have been combined. The Swiss made some excellent firearms and the French made some unique and occasionally inspiring ones. We have added the Belgian and Dutch since they are neighbors.

Post by DuncaninFrance » Sun May 29, 2022 3:37 am

This long weekend there have been military reenactors camped in the Citadelle in Blaye. Most of them portray WWII military - Free French, German,Resistance etc complete with Jeeps, Trucks, Motor Cycles etc.,
However.....here are two photographs that may interest some of you.

Good photos. That fellow really has it all down on a note doesn't he? He obviously spent a lot of time and money getting that rig just right.

Always on the lookout for a holiday, if there is a public holiday on a Thursday or a Tuesday the French make a 'Bridge' (Faire un pont) and take the Friday or the Monday off as well.
