Finally got one!

Post by OneFreeTexan » Wed Dec 27, 2006 3:15 pm

Just picked up a Webley Mark IV, and it is NOT 'war finish', in very good shape, needs cleaning. Only thing is it's one of those DAO's :(

range report is that she shoots way off - or perhaps its me , anyway had to kinda adjust my POA to get the POI on target , its not a super smooth action i expected , but it was fun and ill take her again as i enjoy the 22cal shooting and its cheep , the mkVI is a handfull tho

Although I saw one just like the 0.22 conversion above, it was a little too rich for my pocket, but I was able to pick up the single shot insert for the Mk VI. Great fun and it does shoot to POA at 7 metres. A little cheaper than using my 0.455 hand loads. Dave_n

ive hoped one day to find the single shot setup as well - i have a weak spot for these and trainer types as well , so combine the two and i seem to have no willpower at all , would love to see photos of yours

I still think the Webleys are some of the neatest handguns out there. Funky Victorian looks, great battle history with a robust design and a big old bullet...gotta love 'em !
