a lunar occultation of Mars

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

a lunar occultation of Mars

What that means is that the Moon will come between line of sight with Mars as viewed from various places from earth. At least for a large segment of the Northern Hemisphere this happened tonight. In any case. I thought I'd take a shot or two. The very small sphere of Mars took a couple hours after sundown to manage the trick. I watched it for a while trying to take some photos at very slow motion action. Didn't see the actual behind the Moon moment......I was watching a recorded episode of the Swamp People which I had put on pause already a few times to go outside and see what was happening. Troy was about to tag out so I missed the money shot in the sky. Swamp People are more exciting to watch catching alligators anyway so no big loss.
