the start of the EOS Canon line 650,620,630

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

the start of the EOS Canon line 650,620,630

The EOS 650 was Canon's first EOS camera and the first with an actual built in programmed "brain" in 1987 . The EOS 620 came out two months after the EOS 650. It adds a faster shutter, shiftable program, exposure bracketing, multiple exposures and the world's first electroluminescent LCD illuminator. It lacks the confusing depth-of-field priority mode of the EOS 650. The 630 was the third inline of the 600 series and was even a bit faster focusing than what had come before.

These cameras have a solid feel to them. The all plastic wonders hadn't arrived yet. They were put together with still some quality of the human touch in them. They are very reliable and there aren't a lot of unnecessary programs, bells and whistles that distract from simply taking images and getting results you could on as far as what the cameras did.

I didn't post about them here before because I think it was during the back site failure that pretty much left this site on life support, where it still lingers.
