This is one of the scopless snipers that CAI brought in back in the early 2000's. Back then the proper Zrac scopes where next to impossible to locate, but starting about 4 years ago new production Zrac scopes started to arrive from the former Yugoslavia so these snipers could be restored to there former beauty.

I have had it out to the range and the triggers are hoard,( it was never intended to be a sniper rifle) but even with that it is spot on out to 400 yds .

Nice setup. I got an M48 Yugo from Century in early 2001 that was sold as VG but no connection to being a former sniper. Factory refurb with some actual matching numbers and the bolt forced matched noticing a part of a number on the under side of the bolt handle bend. It still looks great but I had a time with it as a shooter. It had hard extraction and I can't remember if I tried a headspace gauge on it or not.....but probably did. I think maybe the headspace was too tight rather than too loose. Haven't played with it since....probably 2001.

Because the M48 doesn't have a hollowed out bolt head space on the stock for an egg shape bolt the bolt is flat on the inside of a ball outside. Can't tell from your photo but I guess yours is the same.

Same factory marks on my receiver as yours.
