K98k sling

Post by Niner » Sat May 30, 2020 3:24 pm

After playing with a K98k post the other day I got to thinking it might be nice to have a sling for at least one of them. So I found one on ebay from an outfit called Landser Outfitters LLC. Cost all of $18.24 including tax and free shipping. And it arrived today.

It's a pretty good reproduction leather strap including leather faced metal sliding adjuster and leather covered buckle.

It's easy enough to put on. Here is an excellent demonstration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbqRnqrnng8

As a sling the German version is certainly different. the end of the strap in the buckle ends up under the cheek of your palm. A bit odd. However the sling adjustment is really slick and better than other slings that come to mind. The floating bar style lock is quick and makes for easy slight adjustments.

I might have to order one for my Yugo M48.
