Argentine M1909 Mauser

Post by PeterN2 » Tue Mar 16, 2021 11:49 am

I am still buying rifles now and again and I got this Argentine Model 1909 Mauser earlier this month. It is in 7.65mm and is all matching, including the cleaning rod and was made in 1910. The throat looks a bit worn so it has had some use in the past. I have not shot it yet, but I have some ammo loaded and it will be first to the range when it reopens which should be next month. It seems in OK condition for a 111 year old rifle. A few pics.

The action is nice and bright. Probably never was blued. The entire rifle appears to be in great shape. Glad you got something new. I've forgotten what it's like to get a new item for the collection. Give us a report if you go shooting and find they haven't turned the range into a covid vaccination center.
