Uruguay Mauser Model 1871/94

Bought this in a 2-gun deal from a friend. I did some research on it about 5 years ago for him
and posted it on here. Now it will literally be a $$$$ wall hanger for me as there is no ammo unless you load your
own, and I don't. Among the photos on that earlier post is one that shows a stamp "82.1880". Was it actually
made in 1880? Anyway, here is the link to the previous post, the rifle has an interesting history.

A shame about the ammo situation.
It really is a great looking rifle. Maybe you'll eventually sell it to someone that wants to try reloading that round.

I literally bought it to hang on the wall, am looking for a military reproduction sword to go with it.
Once I get it up, it will probably be there until I die........

Yes, it is too late. I have neither the place, the equipment, nor the desire to reload.

Amazon called it a US Model 1860 Light Cavalry Sabre. But it is a replica made in India, so who
knows what it really is a replica of. Looks generic to me, but I like it on the wall. It is surprisingly
sturdy and seems well made, but I wouldn't try to sharpen it and take it into battle and use it......
