Probably the most popular caliber firearm in most of the world. Many of us have more than one. They also are very collectible and still cheap to shoot.

I took a photo of my 22 rifles and....

And I saved one of them and uploaded it as Wallpaper. I had taken it as part of cataloging my gun collection in photographs. I change out the computer wallpaper out every day or two as just a habit. Then I got to looking at the particular image now and again over the last couple of days. It struck me all of a sudden how sculptural and artistic in design they are as objects. Works of art in a mechanical form.

Of course....I could be a little nuts. And all such epiphanies are in the eye of the beholder.

I think I'm going to shoot them all next time I go to the range.

Hey Niner what took you so long to discover the beauty in a rifle stock ? I am an ex joiner and have always appreciated a fine piece of timber so its always been an added dimension to my shooting hobby .
I hope you do take them out to the range they deserve it .
Here's a favourite of mine for a good be bit of wood .

I hope you have a stash of .22 ammo, it has become almost impossible to
find around here, can't find it online either. This lack of ammo is starting to
piss me off, was in Wally World yesterday and when I asked about some
.22, .38, and .45 ammo, the guy said they haven't had any for a while..
Same thing at local gun stores and pawn shops.....

WW did have some 7.62x54r in 20 round boxes, but I prefer to buy the
spam cans online. Last month I got an 880 round case of 2 spam cans that
has the opener in the lid for, $187 delivered. Pretty sure that was cheaper
per round than a box of 20 from WW......

But even online, if you don't buy it quick, it will be sold out in a day..... :(

.
:USA:

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.

Actually, even though ammo seems in short supply I happen to have two full boxes of 22 ammo. And.... partial filled box with about a couple hundred rounds left in it. And....I swear I haven't been hording the stuff. I think it reproduces in the dark some way.

Niner my 5 aren't as neat looking but only one will not fire..It is a Stevens Jr. model 11 that I received a few months ago.A youth sized rifle from the 30s.I hope the proper firing pin will make it function..2 single shots, one semi, one bolt action and one Pump.. :rebel:

The bottom rifle is a Stevens Junior 22 long rifle produced for younger shooters..made in the early 1900's. :rebel:
