Sniper

I saw this link today about " Smart, beautiful and deadly, 19-year-old Soviet sniper Roza Shanina had 59 confirmed kills, 1945". I took down my constructed after the war parts sniper and compared the image of the "real" sniper rifle the young woman hero held in the photo image and mine. The one thing I focused on was the lens cap strap. It looks like, possibly, that the strap goes through the sight bracket like on mine. I've seen other photos where the strap isn't held to the rifle by the circle in the sight frame.

I need to go shoot this rifle again. I noticed the scope helps my sight impaired right eye.

Check out this site about the woman hero sniper.

IMHO the PU sniper was the best all around sniper rifle of WW2

Oh, and I own a couple. 😉

Looks like yours don't have the lens cap strap through the sight bracket. And... I know your snipers are the real deal. However, I'm still wondering.

I have seen a few pics of WW2 snipers with the lense caps strung threw the mounts.
