Re: Just bought a Webley
Moving on a little, back in the late 1930's my Grandfather, who lived in Lisbon, according to my Mother, owned a revolver. The revolver disappeared just after the War, probably to one of my cousins BUT the box remained. It has been in a storage box containing items that have been packed for numerous house moves over the years but because it smelled of gun oil and had no fabric on the inside it just languished in the bottom of a ' Not even needed after the voyage' box. That is until now.....................
I was actually looking on the web for a holster and lanyard for my new Webley and came across this image of a boxed model. WOW I said to myself, that looks a lot like my Grandfathers gun box.......wonder if my Webley would fit? The answer - yes!
Going to have to spend a lot of time re-finishing the box with liner, partitions, hinges and locks but I think the resulting gun box will be worth the effort.....

Re: Just bought a Webley
Went to the range today and fired 12 rounds which is all I had loaded, result.........Virgin Target
At least I know the gun works and there were no misfires. Just shooting it was a thrill.
I have a cunning plan

Re: Just bought a Webley
See.....the bullets didn't get lost between the cylinder and the barrel.
They got lost after leaving the barrel.
Sorry Duncan, just couldn't resist.
Ah well..................at least the revolver works.
Good job Duncan.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin
