Al Capone's grand children are sending Al Capone's favorite automatic pistols to auction along with other momentous Like pocket watches, matchbook holders, an initialed pocket knife, etc.

He died of cardiac arrest after suffering a stroke, these were caused by syphilis that also
led to his dementia. He was only 48, so I guess his screwing around cost him his life...... :shock: :roll:

Stag handles on the 1911. Wonder if he had them put on special ....or maybe somebody gave it to him like that.

Well the .45 was a big hit.... at the auction.
The most popular item proved to be Capone’s favorite Colt .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol, which went for $860,000.

Hard to believe that someone paid that amount for the pistol...... :shock: :roll:

This is a cool post!

It shows that often times it isn't the firearm itself that people value. And some bidders really value the gangster connection.

Cool to see it go so high.
