You had better believe it! That's one reason I made Sergeant - I could organize. We had a comcen caravan so if we had to bail out quickly all the coms went with us, towed by a rover!

Our platoon moto was 'Comoditas Supa Omnia' Comfort Above All Things - and we applied it 110%!

Almost every member of my platoon carried a hip flask at all times and everyone from the Colonel down could be seen checking smock top left hand pockets on a weekend!

Every Sunday, CSG John Folan (Platoon Cdr) and I used to wear a bow tie! When asked why by the Colonel John said it was an old platoon tradition. "If you can't go to church on Sunday you must wear a bow tie!" I think we did that for 3 years!!

Our CQMS was always left out of any fighting and had at least 1 'helper' - we always ate well. We also seemed to have a small surplus of certain items that were very useful for trading. In fact, we had a very good 'war'
