This Focke Wulf 190 was recovered from the sea off Bergen, Norway just recently. In remarkably good shape after more than 60 years.

Some pretty cool shots taken underwater by a ROV...

The wreck was raised on November 1. 2006. It was found by an ROV May 11. 2005 at almost 200 ft depth. I'm not absolutely certain of the location because I've only read about it in the news. But it's stated to be West of Misje and the plane was en route to Herdla which is 9 miles to the North. The plane reportedly ditched on December 16. 1943 because of technical problems. "Gelbe 16" belonged to 12./JG5 stationed at 'Fliegerhorst Herdla'.

It would be interesting to see whether or not they plan to make it flyable.

If I heard correctly someone raised a Mitsubishi A6M in the Pacific and is intending to fly it. A flyable FW-190A would be really great.
