1916 BSA Mk III* Sporter

Post by lmc1016 » Fri Mar 09, 2007 10:09 pm

rescued it from a fate worse than hell! a pawnshop!

1916 BSA, charger bridge removed as always. Redfield peep installed. rear ladder sight removed, but bridge/bracket in place. Bishop Walnut with some "tiger striping" buttstock installed. bright, shiney excellent bore. first shot bullseyed at 50 yards. in the cleaning process now. bluing appears 95-98%. this rifle is really sweet. first enfield i can't seem to put down.

That butt is a very nice piece of wood. Pity about the sporterising.

Any chance of some detail shots of the Redfield sight ? - don't see too many Downunder.

killed my first "pig" with her last week. shooting handloads of Fed. cases, 180 gr. Winchester Silvertips, of which I acquired 200 bullets at an estate sale. these work great, wished they still made them.
