A Properly Loaded Charger
Thanks Curtis, this is probably one of the most frequently asked questions on the other Enfield boards and one of the most contested by people saying they have a better method.
I have tried all of the other methods and they all cause stoppages!

Personally I've found that if can get your chargers to hold the bullet at the right tension, a slight rattle when shaken in the charger but not dropping out and the chargers are nice andsmooth and polished, I use Zeebrite stove black. Then they always strip the right way into the mag regardless as to how they are loaded in the charger.
I have about a dozen chargers that are in this ready to go condition and 700 plus waiting to be fettled, got to be a winter job that, its amazing what you get round to doing when you don't own a television.

I have a question .....
If I would load the rounds from this charger wouldn't the top round catch on the 2nd rounds rim ?? And wouldn't this happen either way I used the charger ..
I thought it was 3 up 2 down ???

Charger Loading
Mr T,
No it's definatley three down and two up. _-_-_
It's best explained on one of the Lee Enfield skeleton training aids as you can actually see it happen when you load them.
Perhaps somebody a bit more eloquent then myself can give you a technical answer, sadly I know it works but struggle to put it in words as to how it works.
