Having gotten the latest solicitation I'm worried about the NRA's Wayne "the sky is falling" La Pierre. These mass solicitation letters to people on the fence probably create more anti gun sentiment than pro gun rights support and driven pro people like myself away from wanting to be associated with them. I'd hate to think what the country would be like if Wayne La Pierre was running it. Ever notice how presidents of the NRA come and go but LaPierre remains to pull the strings for life? Bet hardly anybody can name who the actual NRA president is right now.
Attached is part of the last come to Jesus letter recieved in the mail from the NRA. Click on it to make it bigger. Hit the white box in the corner next, and each attachment should get bigger still. Then click on the text one more time and it will get bigger to 1000 pixels or so.
So you are worried about Hillary?

As an NRA Endowment member I often feel I am not active enough. We in the USA enjoy our gun rights primarily due to the NRA, and it's in the
nature of fund raising letters to declare the sky is falling and Armageddon
is just around the corner. To me defended the Second Amendment is like
fitness, it's a lifetime committment. You can relax every now and then
but otherwise you have to keep at it. And you do reap what you have sown.

I follow your reasoning. You are not alone in your belief and I have joined you in this in the past. But..something is wrong about how they go about things.
Kinda reminds me of some tv evangelist working the faithful for money with outrageous predictions of dire consequences......Remember the famous evangelist who raised money saying if the flock didn't contribute enough money God was going to take him to his grave?
If we have to pay the yearly, and more frequent, bribe to the NRA to keep our guns in the US we are in trouble. Not to mention the numberous business interests that are shilling for them with the same prediction of Armageddon, with the NRA as the only protector. Try ordering from Midway, for instance, and the operator always asks for a donation to the NRA!
Now the above being said, I do believe we gun owners need to have some influence with the law makers on a day to day basis beyond the infrequent options at the ballet box. But every time I get ready to give in to rejoining the NRA......something inside of me stops me from doing it.
There has to be some resolution or alternative.
