Swedish M94 takedown

I have held it in my greasy mitts, what a superb piece of kit. I really enjoyed assembling it. My RFD says he has looked all over it and cant find any info on who did the work. His assessment is that it was done professionally possibly between the wars in germany. There is no way that rifle would have sold for that price unless it was a free donor rifle to start with.

I particularly like the see through mounts.

Variation time now especially as it is half paid for!

I don't want to be a wet blanket, BUT isn't a "Takedown" firearm where you take the barrel of the action?

It is still a great rare specimen!!

I'd have thought that take down as in strippable in the field or for transort without specialist tools.

Yes it is very nice, has been zeroed and am considering taking it north of the Thames for some Muntjac next month!

I'm torn between that and my .223.

Been out once or twice with it the last couple of months but only when guiding as its nice and light. I did take a nice RoeBuck with a Rigby which would have been a perfect shot for the Swede but I cant carry all of them at the same time sadly!
I will when I return from Scotland get on top of it again, I like to use a light carbine in the woods when I have a dog with me for tracking.

Was looking at previous posts in this thread and noticed that one of the 3 rifles on the rack on your wall seems to have a silencer on it.
I was under the impression that those of you in the UK lived under very restrictive gun laws, like you had to keep everything locked up and no fun things like pistols, clips, silencers, hand grenades, cases of C4, etc.

Seriously, those rifles on the rack are beautiful.

Moderators as we are supposed to call them are almost mandatory now, every time you ask for a sporting rifle the police have to offer you the option of a moderator.
Most of my collection is sporting nowadays as I teach stalking and work part time as a stalking guide. I do enjoy it, being out in the woods.
