Another Martini---Shaken Not Stirred

This is the new MkIV---in this case a "B" type. In general, a "B" has an original Enfield-Martini action body, remarked as a MkIV off-center of the bale mark.

The rifle is marked for a trip to the Firozpur Arsenal in 1900 and marked for a sale to Nepal in 1906---with sold-out-of-service arrows which include an "F" for Firozpur.

Finish on this one is outstanding, all marks are clear and the bore is even bright in the grooves.

Fired twenty rounds out of the other one a couple weeks ago, beating Strangely Brown to the line.

Didn't hit much as I was shooting at the 200 yard gong---too damp for targets. Got 30-40% hits, the wind was blowing so hard it was difficult to hear the bullets hitting the steel.

That looks hansom K, I like the idea of the soapy water for the cartridges straight after firing. I will steal that one for my BP shotgun cartridges.

Interesting piece. Dates everywhere. How does the 1997 fit into the picture ? Import/export date ?
