any cost efective models for cheap SOB like me?

Most US milsurps are very costly, so that is the only reasion I do not own one. When ever I save up some cash (Yogi says, "...it's just as good as money!"), I spend it on a less expensive milserp.

I guess I have a hard time delaying gradification!

Go to your CMP. $500 will buy you a Service Grade M-1. $400 will buy you a 1903A3 or high serial numbered 1903. There are some hoops to jump through though.
