AM I EXCITED OR WHAT!

Post by DuncaninFrance » Mon Nov 03, 2008 12:53 pm

Just got a call from a pal who said that a new club was starting up based on a Military Camp! We are going to meet some of the founding members on Friday 14th and it is looking good.

100mtrs - 1000mts available. Shoot every Sunday morning. 28€ a year ( That's about £22! )

The camp is called 'Camp de Souge', due west of Bordeaux.

Can't wait!! Will report in detail later but looks good from here

Excellent news Duncan.

Especially the fact that it goes to 1000m.

Our range apparently re-opens on the 9th  but is now only 100m

Well, back from Bordeaux and now a member of ‘Club Sportif et Artistique Camp de Souge’.

Cost of membership – 27€ / £23 / $34 a year. This gives shooting distances of 200,300,400,600 mtrs and out of the hunting season 1000mtrs (I think)

No pics at present as I thought it would be inappropriate to jump out of the car and start snapping pics on a military range but the 400mtr range has about 15 lanes. No ‘fall when hit’ stuff but It’s a nice looking range laid out East/West so should be good light all day.

Will have to sit tight now and wait for the paperwork to arrive but this now gives me 3 ranges to use, 2 in Bordeaux and one here in Blaye.

Gets better and better!!
