This probably borders on the obscure but I'm curious. Came across an advertisement for a shotgun recently. The butt reminded me of something I'd seen before but I couldn't quite place it. After much thinking and searching I finally found it. From my visit to Leeds I have some (poor) shots of firearms made post WW1 (possibly WW2) for those unfortunate enough to have lost limbs in the war.
The first one is described as
Manufactured in Feb 1913, Cross Eyes model is made for right handed shooters with a left dominant eye.
Obviously given the date of manufacture it doesn't fall into the same category as the ones at Leeds. But I'm curious as to how common these are. Were they ever a standard model or more a special order item ? Does it solve the problem ?

Known as a 'Crosseye or Crosseyed' Stock I think. Also used when the left eye is prominent on a right handed shooter.

I have a left eye dominant and am right handed. I must shoot a shotgun all wrong then. I keep both eyes open when shooting a shotgun at moving target. I do this even when shooting a rifle at a stationary target, come to think of it. Now, maybe if I didn't have a right eye, this would be helpful. But I wonder at $14,500 being worth the price. That much money could buy a lot of entertainment of various other sorts.
