Ok test shoot time! I fired the '43 Izhevsk at about 45 or so yards,my "range"
Fired fifteen rounds of what I think is Russian 147gr light ball,shoots just a tad left but is what I'd call "dead accurate"
I'd say it's working fine and I must say the Mosin is the nicest of the old battle rifles in terms of "feel" I've ether picked up or owned Enfields,Mausers,Garands,K-31's,M1 Carbines Etc. and of them all I'd say the K-31 and Mosin feel the most right in my hands.
They're also not so heavy compared to most other WWII battle rifles.
