WWI US compass

Things a soldier would carry other than firearms, ammo, or uniforms. Meaning equipment such as ammo pouches, bayonets, holsters, oil cans, cleaning equipment, etc.

WWI US compass

Post by Niner » Mon Jun 13, 2011 11:26 am

A friend of mine that I served with in Vietnam saw a post I made at my other site about a compass and he sent me photos of his grandfathers WWI compass. My friend still uses it when he goes deer hunting in Pennsylvania.

A bit like the US WW2 compass only not as fast at finding the enemy!
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy!

It seems to be an Engineer Corps compass. Found one listed for $85.

Scroll down the page three or four items.

(July 6.....they sold it already. Don't bother to look at the link.)
