Yeh, that's the idea that got me started. The main difference is that the Le Page's hammer is offset so the gun's balance on the support is different.
Think I am going to add a little piece to keep it in place plus some felt to protect the finish.
Will post pics when done.

Just had a reply from Pedersoli - my Le Page was made and exported to France in 1996 so the Year Mark should be BH

Asked the same question about my Armi Sport Le Page.
I sent an E-mail to Chiappa Firearms in Italy yesterday evening.
Had a reply early this morning.
My Le Page was manufactured in April 1993 en exported to "Frankonia Jagd" in Germany that same year.
