A freind of mine who works in a local gun shop turned up at the range with this P14 the previous owner had passed away and he was looking for a good home for her well what could I do. I SNAPPED his bloody hand of thats what I did.
The gun looks like a original mark 1 to me no sign of a weedon repair mark anywere. Its got English proof marks all matching numbers.
Iv stripped and cleaned the bolt and are now working my way around the rest of the little beuty.
Iv full length sized 50 cases and Im in the process of Loading some ammo to shoot her on Saturday at my Local range.
The volley sight front disc is still there but the pointer is missing the rear volley sight has been milled off.

Iv looked all over and I cant find any weedon repair markings in the usual places Ill have a word with Adam at the range Saturday if hes there he may be able to read her markings and shed some light on her history.
The previous owner has obviousley looked after her God rest his sole.
The guy that brought it to my attention also had with him a Enfield No4 Sterling conversion in 7.62 owned by the same guy that is very nice. If I had a slot for it I would have been tempted.
