We are supposed to be getting two Lancasters flying over here tomorrow about mid-day. It will be a bit of a lottery if they fly over the bit of town that I will be at though.

Regards
Peter.

The Canadian Lanc was stuck at Teeside airport for a few days recently undergoing a engine swap.

Well, I was dozing in bed about half past nine this morning, thinking it was about time I got my feet on the carpet, when I heard an aircraft engine in the distance. We often get single engine light 'planes flying over but this started to sound deeper and more powerfull. I got out of bed and opened the window to see the two Lancasters flying past quite low about 300 yards away. I didn't have time to get my camera, but I watched them fly off into the distance. I was going to go to the range today but didn't as it was my last chance for a lie in, as I am back at work tomorrow after two weeks off. I am glad I was home, now. Yesterday was dull, low cloud and rain showers and I think the Lancasters didn't fly. I was hoping to see the two Lancasters flying, but didn't expect to see them from my bedroom.
Regards
Peter.
