Restoration of a Japanese T99 Sniper

Interesting
No Adjustments? I can see cross hair hash marks for distance or left and right movements ....but no focus? Snipers must have all had the same eyesight or the magnifacation was so slight that one size fits all?

long range
up to what range are the 99's effective, as a sniper. I know I read that
the japanese didn't shoot long range due to the low power scope.

nice job and well worth the effort. Sometimes you just get lucky when looking for the strange or scarce parts!
How about some more close ups and details of the rifle and scope
Very interesting Thanks. So just taking the type 99 sniper production numbers and lets guess 75% were lost in combat, dropped into Tokyo Bay or hidden on an island. There could still be around 2,300 examples out there if I understand you correctly?
