Brady, there are really two of them. Basically Duncan produced a bit of news from a British calendar journal on a day by day basis related to 100 years ago. A second string developed and I put in my two cents worth about what was in the US newspapers on the same date a 100 years into the past. Both strings are in the Veterans Remember forum. The first one is this one. http://www.milsurpafterhours.com/bb/vie ... 30&t=11068

You must have noticed the site had a failure that has resulted in all the lines of php error warning. Perhaps the site will be fixed one day. The problems with the repair have pretty much come to a complete standstill.

I put a sticky on this one from once upon a time ....just so new people stumbling upon this site will see we used to have lively discussions about "milsurps" before the long site crash and then rebirth after the party was over and many of the guests had left for good.

I don't remember any Steyr Mannlicher war photos. Probably have seen one or two that I don't remember. However, saw this one today that was interesting. Odd pose for the two guys with one leg out of balance looking like they are going to launch a grenade over the firing line. I think if I had been one of the riflemen I'd be more worried about the grenade tossers than whatever was seen through the firing slots.

A great photo Robert, coincidently I had my M95 Steyr out recently after fitting a new extractor sourced in Bulgaria. The old one had snapped while at a shoot last year.
I tried out a few indoor rounds on Thursday before taking it to a fullbore range on Saturday. It was a fun day shooting at 300m.
