And President Wilson made an address. At the end of it summing up he said this:

Talk about getting blood out of a turnup. So what is the chance this demand was ever fulfilled?

For 'Hunters' read 'Assassins' The French don't hunt but shoot at anything that moves, preferably before it leaves the ground. That include their mates and their dogs...............

The shouting continues. Sgt. York is making some money for a school back home. The quotes sound like he was being played by Gary Cooper in the movie.

So what happened to the Kaiser after the war? Well... a hundred years ago today he found some new digs in Holland.

And Kaiser Wilhelm II lived in that house until he died there in 1941 at age 82.
Wilhelm and Hitler hated each other .... Hitler blamed him for losing WWI and he thought
the Nazis were thugs.

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.
Re: DIARY OF THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918
Looks like he lived longer than two of the big three leaders that decided the fate of Germany in WWI. Thanks Vern for filling us in on how long the Kaiser lived in that house. Wilson died 2/3/1924, aged 67. George Clemenceau died 11/24/1929, age 88. David Lloyd George lasted until 3/26/1945, age 82. Two of the three didn't know there was going to be a World War part II. Lloyd George died a couple months before WWII in Europe came to and end.
