I think he must have thought it a deal. Maybe it is now days. They were Chinese SKS rifles imported from some trouble spot where the arms were pretty much surplus crap to begin with. The photos show pretty rough condition and carved stocks like stuff scribbled on bathroom walls. $450 each to any takers.....and they are apparently lining up.
Wasn't it good to be into milsurps in the gravy days? I have three SKS rifles. One is a Russian in good condition and matching serial numbers. One is an Albanian, also matching. One is among the first of the last good Yugo's . I have, not bragging, about $320 in all three of mine. Wonder what they are worth now?
