Re: When the Trombone player has to step out
I love this band, even bought a CD of theirs - Some Kind-A-Shake. (Not easy to find over here) I wonder where Erika Lewis was that day.

There are several facebook pages devoted to the band. https://www.facebook.com/groups/tubaskinny/
They go to Europe now and then. They are at last report in Bern Switzerland doing a concert.
I think what's appealing to a lot of us is the old time jazz sound from the way Louis Armstrong and some the of the early jazz artists played back about a century ago before all the paths the music took.
Louis Armstrong playing Once In a While from 1927.

Tuba Skinny from a gig at a local joint in New Orleans. Same tune.

Erika Lewis has branched out on her own and has made an album separate from Tuba Skinny but also appears with them some of the time. From some photos it looks like she went to Bern recently.
