and a .303 LI (always wanted one of these) especially the I*.

Those Indians, now they're converting No 1Mk II to .308. Just goes to show that there is good steel in those old pre-WW1 SMLEs.

These are from an add by a reputable company in a reputable magazine.

Must be the season :)

My God!

A long Lee in .308......................is nothing sacred?

Personally I think it's bloody disgusting!

I'm looking for a decent Long Lee Enfield (CLLE for preference) in .303 and in decent condition, and here are the Indians butchering them.

Don't get me wrong, if people want .308 fine, but every one they 'convert' (or should that be 'Bubba'*) means one less chance for me to find one!

(Yes, I am a selfish Ba*d!) :D

And I'll bet they'll shove that damned screw into the stock.

Selfishly (and annoyed)

Tom

* While they're playing about with the barrel and breech, why not shorten it to a more manageable length, shove on a synthetic stock, tweak the sights - where does it end?

Bit off topic, but that's not unusual around here

Just going through my books, Tom, and I came across "Soul Music". Going to settle down and read it again.

Been wondering where I'd seen the name 'Terry Pratchett'
