California is in the middle of the kind of catastrophe that seems almost biblical. A fire storm with gusts of wind nearing 100mph turning a giant fire into a blow torch of major destruction. Thousands of acres and thousands of homes torched to rubble. Meanwhile some major Congress Republicans want to limit the aid due to the admittedly bone headed California political lack of prevention before it all happened. "Speaker Mike Johnson calls for 'conditions' on California wildfire aid" is one headline. The Democrats are incensed at the affront to a Blue state even suggesting conditions. However......when it comes to dumping billions into a war in Ukraine and billions more of money and bombs...like 2000 pound block busters... in Israel for use on children in Gaza, none of those judgmental politicians promote any conditions at all. Republicans aligning with the Democrats in lock step. Funny how states that pay taxes are more suspect of wrong doing than foreign countries we select to love that are intentionally killing people in large numbers with US encouragement or disinterest.
