Lady Wilmington-Smythe was just back from India and attended a soiree given by her good friend Lady Pilkingdon-Prendergaast.
During the course of conversation one of the ladies asked if her daughter, Penelope, had married yet?
"Oh, yass" came the reply "she married a Gurkha Off'sah".
"But aren't they brown?"
"Only their privates, my deah".
"Oh! How exotic ! !".
